I thought Dr. Maberry's lecture was well prepared and extremely informative. Sometimes note taking was difficult and sections had to be replayed to adequately make notes, but it was impressive the Biblical basis she places on each assertion. If we don't know Scripture, we cannot confound the temptations of Satan. Satan will catch us off guard just as he did Eve if we are not grounded in God's Word. The development of woman as a "helper" of man and the comparison with I Sam.1:12 with God as a helper deepened my appreciation of the awesomeness of our Father.

Dr. Mabery's lecture on Biblical Feminism proved to be highly researched, thought out, and structured. I was greatly informed on the more detailed description of the term "feminists". Also, what a progression of change and cultural digression has taken place throughout the ages within the secular and Christian feminist movements. I also greatly appreciated and agreed with the three topics involved in the feminist movement in regards to theology: Doctrine of Scripture, God, and Man. It seems a slippery slope proceeds from the secular feminist whom decides to re-write God to the Evangelical feminist's doubts of the authenticity of the Pauline Epistles (do the the extreme usage of subordination of women within the church).
Rather than focus on the rules and commands, we as a church body should focus on, relish and utilize the specific gifts, abilities, and roles God has ordained to men and women uniquely.

Yes, I quite agree with your comment. It was at times difficult to take notes due to the lack of space---but I am grateful I could stop and rewind (apposed to in class lecture, when this is not an option. This is true, if we are not immersed in the scriptures, we are more susceptible to the deceptions and temptations from Satan, but, also an undivided heart and clarity of mind is also necessary. One can memorize chapters upon chapters of scripture and know in great detail the seven point of Calvinism; but without the heart of submission and devotion, it may be easier to fall from temptation into sin.
Lastly, I also was able to more deeply appreciate the sovereignty of our all-powerful Father, in his intricate handiwork at designing such specific, and valued roles to rule in His kingdom.
